LoveOlli bag review

LoveOlli Bag Review

I was chosen to review a LoveOlli Animated Nature Shopper Bag. The bag arrived wrapped in tissue with a beautiful business card (i will be recycling into my crafting). I was quite surprised at the size of the bag it’s so much bigger than i imagined and the quality is amazing as  i was expecting a thin canvas bag.

The fabric print is beautiful and features different designs depicting birds, flowers and stamps to the front & back which gives it a lovely vintage feel. The faux leather detailing to the base of the bag & handle are another sign of great quality. The bag is lined with a beautiful floral print fabric and has 2 pocket inserts inside deep enough for a purse, pens, keys mobile etc…. and the oil cloth material of the bag is a great feature as it will keep the contents of the bag dry.

This bag is perfect for shopping trips measuring a generous 37cm X 39 it’s big enough to fit quite a few items inside. Personally i needed a sturdy bag to carry my art materials, sketch books can be really heavy so a sturdy well stitched bag is needed, i fitted lots of setchbooks, pencil case & a notebook in  & there was still space for more.

Overall i think this bag would make a great gift, it’s a great quality item that is made to last & after all you can’t have too many bags especially one this beautiful. Please go and check their website out they have some beautiful items & gift ideas  you will find them at the link below.

Recycled Tube Bugs

My kids love crafting, so we decided to make these little recycled tube bugs they are super easy to make, they are lovely on their own but could be used to decorate Spring/Easter crafts & bonnets.

Materials you will need  : Decorative paper, double sided tape, pipe cleaners, gems, scissors, pen, ruler & glue.

cover the tube in decorative paper & fix it into place with double sided tape. Cut some wing shapes & heart antenna then simply add your chosen decorations.

My kids had great fun creating them & they are such an easy craft it would be suitable for the youngest of crafters.

Rice Lane City Farm

Rice Lane City Farm holds fond childhood memories for me it’s tucked away in the heart of the city it’s a little oasis away from the hustle & bustle of city life. Entry to the farm is free & this includes any activities during your visit although we always enjoy our visit so like to leave a donation .

The farm has a  stable block with pigs goats & poultry, there is also a children’s petting area with a pony, ducks, geese, chicks and rabbits which is always a big hit with my kids (and me). The farm & woodland cover 24 acres with a small park/play area on site so there is plenty to do &  it’s a great place for kids to explore, enjoy a  family walk or have a family picnic & go on a nature hunt in the woodlands. The farm is very active in  the community & has lots of events throughout the year so it is worth checking out their website for dates & times.
